Foreign powers are responsible for crises and violence in Pakistan

Foreign powers are responsible for crises and violence in Pakistan. Now they are trying to blend authoritarian rule and a democratic façade for their interests.

Foreign powers have always used Pakistan as a geo-strategic utility. They always imposed leaders on Pakistan, who can dance on their tunes.

Now they are trying to bring a leader to power that plundered and looted Pakistan’s wealth.

Ms Bhutto and her party workers are responsible for the incident

Pakistan's former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto claimed says she had prior warning of an assassination plot against her.

This Oxford educated lady and her followers are responsible for the ugly incident. Her party workers had disrupted all the security measures taken at the airport. They broke all the hurdles in their zeal and tried to reach the airport.

She also acted foolishly. She did not use the bullet proof cubicle provided by the government. Instead she mounted on the truck along with PPP leaders.

It is wrong to blame the government for the incident.

At least 143 people have been killed in bomb blasts in Karachi

At least 143 people have been killed in bomb blasts in Karachi. The explosion occurred near motorcade carrying former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.

According to eye witnesses , body parts were strewn all over the road. Hundreds of people have been seriously wounded.

People party’s sources say that she is safe and sound.

CNN's Dan Rivers commented that security was lax around her. He said :

"We remarked on how lax security was around her. We got within touching distance of her vehicle. There was no security around, nobody stopping vehicles getting close to [the motorcade]."

This clearly indicates that the terrorists took advantage of this security lapse and exploded the bomb.

Benazir Bhutto has landed in Pakistan

Benazir Bhutto has landed in Pakistan. She promises a ‘new future’- not just for her but for Pakistan.

Critics say diplomatic pressure from America and Britain paved the way for her return to Pakistan. America and Britain pressurized President Pervez Musharraf to share power with her.

In my opinion, this "marriage" between the general and the "Daughter of the East" will not last long.

One of General’s adviser commented that they would fight like cat and dog.

Commentary : Lack of troops, strategy hampering Afghan campaign: think-tank

Chatham House researchers, a leading British foreign affairs think-tank, opine that NATO is unable to beat the Taliban and Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan, because of lack of resources and planning.

They are of the opinion that NATO and coalition have failed to o develop a "coherent approach to deal with the Taliban.

In my opinion, NATO and coalition do not want to solve the problem. They want to keep Afghanistan in perpetual crisis to justify their presence in Afghanistan. Even a fool knows that they are here to contain China and Iran. They also want to keep an eye on Pakistan , the sole Muslim nuclear power.

Commentary : Russia divulges Putin assassination plot

Interfax news agency quoted  a source in Russia's special services saying that a plot to assassinate  Putin during visit to Iran this week has been unearthed.

Putin is expected to travel Tehran on Monday night from Germany after meetings with Chancellor Angela Merkel.

In my opinion, the report is baseless. The sole purpose of this report is to strain the Russian and Iran relationship.

Commentary : A Top Algeria Al-Qaida Affiliate Killed

Algerian security forces claim that they have killed an al-Qaida's North Africa affiliate, Sofiane el-Fassila. They say he was an explosives expert and high ranking al-qaeda operative.

We all know that Algerian security forces are ruthless killers. They have killed thousands of people since 1992. 9/11 has provided wonderful pretext to Muslims dictators in the name of al-qaeda.

Crack down on Press in Egypt

The Egyptian government's crackdown on journalists have attracted widespread condemnations.

The Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak's government jailed several journalists for criticizing government.

The US, which gives 2 billion dollars aid to Egypt each year, expressed 'deep concern'.

Washington should pressurize Mubarak to introduce democratic reforms in his country. It should stop aid if he does not listen.

Saudis be nice to your maid

Saudis profess themselves as pious Muslims. However , their inhumane treatment of domestic servants belie their claim.

The Prophet Muhammad told us to be kind to our servant. But Saudis ignore these golden rules of conduct.

An advertisement company in Saudi Arabia has decided to launch a campaign in this regard. The Ads will be aired on Arab satellite channels after Ramadan. The purpose of these Ads are to ask Saudis to show kindness to their domestic servants.

Sanctions delay was a victory for Iran: expert

Iran has managed to delay the impending sanctions. World powers who gather on Friday to discus to impose new sanctions on Iran have decided to wait for the reports by UN nuclear watchdog and a European Union negotiator whether to submit a new sanctions resolution to the Security Council.

Ali Khorram , who is a a former diplomat and expert in international law commented that delay in the sanction is victory for Iran.

In my opinion , big powers will not be to take tough actions against Iran. As long as Russia and China are behind Iran's back.

World should press Nuclear power to destroy their arsenals

According to reports , Officials of the five permanent U.N. Security Council members held talks to impose further sanctions on Iran. They wanted to force Iran to halt its its uranium enrichment activities.

In my opinion , the stance adopted by these world powers are illegal and unjustified, because NPT gives Iran to pursue to uranium enrichment activities for peaceful activities.

UN members should press these rogue world powers to destroy Nuclear arsenals to make world nuclear free.

We should remember that America is only nuclear power, which used atomic bomb to subdue Japan.

Bin Laden declares 'war' on Pakistan in new tape

Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden has made a call for Jihad to remove Musharraf and his army.

In response to this message Pakistan Army’s spokesman said such threats cannot deter us" from fighting terrorists to to eliminate terrorism.

In my opinion , this stupid Arab is playing in the hands of western powers , who nurtured him. They are using him to weaken Muslim world’s strongest army.

I urge the government of Pakistan to take tough measures against this Arab and foreign militants and drive them out from our territories.

How can the Nuclear Suppliers Group approve India?

Washington wants to call a special meeting of the NSG. It wants NSG to change its rule for India, because the NSG officially does not approve trade with countries that have not signed the NPT.

In my opinion , it will undercut U.S.-led campaign to curtail Iran's shadowy nuclear programme and open the way for a potential arms race in South Asia.

Commonwealth piles pressure on Pakistan's Musharraf

Commonwealth chief Don McKinnon has asked Msuharraf to step down either from the post of president or give up his uniform before the next presidential elections.

The group’s chief reminded Musharraf that it was incompatible with the basic principles of democracy to hold the posts of president and army chief together.

The Commonwealth is an association of 53 independent states, from former British colonies. They expelled Pakistan for five years from the Commonwealth after Musharraf seized power in 1999.

The Commonwealth represents 1.8 billion people and a fifth of global trade but it has no formal decision-making powers.

Saudi reformist to be tried for 'inciting' womens' protest

Prominent Saudi reformist Abdullah Al Hamed and his brother brother have been ordered to appear in court on charges including inciting protests by women.

The charges are linked to a July sit-in by a group of women in Buraida, to demand that their husbands or brothers, held on suspicion of involvement in a wave of Islamist violence unleashed in Saudi Arabia in 2003, either receive a public trial or be released.

Abdullah Al Hamed is university professor who was sacked from his job because of his political activism, Mr Hamed played a key role in drafting and circulating petitions calling for Saudi Arabia to become a constitutional monarchy in the aftermath of the September 11 terror attacks at a time when the kingdom and its rulers were shaken by the discovery that most of the bombers were Saudi nationals.
