Commentary: US has no plan to attack Iran

The White house made a statement on Thursday to allay  the concerns of the international community. It said that the US had no plan to attack Iran.

In my opinion, the US will never attack Iran. It tried to gather the support of Europeans but they were in no mood to support Americanson this issue.

The EU wants to buy gas from Iran to diminish its dependence on Russian energy.

Americans also saw that their sanction backfired. The price of crude oil jumped to $92 a barrel in New York last week.

The US must understand that the Iranians have oil, which the world wants to buy.

Commentary: Pakistan's Musharraf needs Bhutto, and U.S. may too

ROBERT NOVAK thinks that Benazir Bhutto can be a bulwark against Islamic extremism. He opines that al-qaeda and Taliban is against Benazir Bhutto and is creating trouble for her.

Mr. NOVAK , she is the one who formed Taliban. History tells us that she can make deals with militants and terrorists. She made a deal with the cleric, who was fighting security forces in Swat now. If she had take action, he would have been behind bars. She may be good for American interests. But she is not good for Pakistan. Her government will bring Shiites in power in Pakistan.

Talk to Taliban

NATO and the US-led coalition have failed to bring peace and stability in Afghanistan. Mounting civilian causalities are creating resentment among Afghans. Highways and cities are not safe. Taliban suicide bombers have forced well-armed NATO and US-led Coalition troops hide inside their bases.

In my opinion, peace will never come to Afghanistan unless the US and western power include Taliban in their talks. They made a blunder after Bonn conference by giving representations to warlords to counter Tablian.

European nations, Russians and Chinese should back US sanctions

I agree with Dr. Rice that a nuclear weapon in the hands of Iranian Mullahs will destabilize the Middle East. Since 1979, they have been exporting terror and inciting their co-religionists in Sunni dominated countries to destabilize these countries.

International community will have to support US sanctions against Iran to force it to stop its nuclear enrichment. But it looks that European nations, Russians and Chinese are not willing to back or complement US sanction because of their lucrative business ties to Iran.

The Armenian bill will create problem for the US in future

The U.S. popularity has plummeted in Turkey after the passage of the Armenian bill. The Turkish government's condemned the resolution of the bill

We all know that Ankara is very important for Washington. It relies on Turkey for a logistical for the war in Iraq.

Analyst say the Armenian bill will create problems for the US in Iraq.

Commentary : Russia, U.S. at odds over missile shield

Washington has refused to freeze its missile defense shield project. It insists that the system is need to defend against ``rogue states'' such as North Korea and Iran.

Russians say that Washington’s ‘ fears are unjustified. I agree with the Russians. If analyze the American intelligence reports and hearings, we come to the conclusion that Iranian are making false claims about their nuclear achievements.

In my opinion, American actions will start a new cold war in the Europe.

Comments : Al-Qaida becoming more dangerous, White House says in new report

The White House said Tuesday claimed that Al-Qaida would try infiltrate the United States Pakistan.

The said a new report is false. Al-Qaida people cannot come to the US. Pakistani has made it impossible for these terrorists to get travel documents.

I have worked in NADRA(National Database Registration Authority ) in Pakistan. They have made it impossible for terrorists to get fake documents. The US authorities appreciate the system implemented by Pakistan government.

Anti-Muslim Posters Upset George Washington University Community

Posters appeared on the George Washington University Monday with the message "Hate Muslims? So Do We!!!".

This anti-Muslim message has upset the Muslim community. This expression of hatred on the campus was condemned by the George Washington University community.

In my opinion, this type of anti-Muslim expression will create hatred in the community. It is wrong to label all Muslim terrorists for the crimes of the few.

International politics is very complex. The players involved in the global politics have started a smearing campaign Muslims for their personal again. Look at Iraq, Billions of dollars were pocked by the US officials in the name of saving America.

Pakistan political crisis deepens after Supreme Court's ruling

The Supreme Court’s ruling on Friday made the political environment further tense. The unusual and surprise ruling asked the Election Commission to withheld the result of presidential election until the justices decided on his eligibility to run while serving as army chief.

This surprise ruling could thwart U.S.-allied Musharraf's bid for a new five-year term and pave the way for martial law.

Militants shot down US drone in N Waziristan

Taliban militants shot down a US drone in North Waziristan. According reports, villagers of Muhammadkhel village has seized the seized the sensitive espionage paraphernalia onboard. Pakistan Army has confirmed the incident.

The US action will only aggravate the situation in the tribal region and badly affect the peace inittiatives started by Pakistani officials.

Commentary : Rice raps Pakistan ruler on arrests

President General Pervez Musharraf's crackdown on opposition attracted criticism from US officials. They conveyed the message to Pakistani government that they were disturbed over the actions taken by the government.

U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice told the Reuters that Washington that arrest were troubling and they conveyed their concern to the Pakistani government.

Pakistani government officials responded in a very crude way and said that United States should stay out of the matter. They asked them to stop making such statements.

In my opinion , Musharraf will not listen to any sane advise. He wants to win elections by hook or by crook. This actions were to taken to intimidate the PML(Q) leaders to vote for Musharraf on Oct 6.

According to reports, the police have been told to ensure that the MPs report to the assemblies on October 6 and cast their vote.

Pakistan : U.S. Embassy sharply criticized ‘the crackdown'

Pakistani police have arrested scores of flag-waving opposition demonstrators in Islamabad. These demonstrators were trying to reach the Supreme Court. Where the court was hearing challenges to President Pervez Musharraf's plans for re-election.

The U.S. Embassy in Islamabad sharply criticized ‘the crackdown’ and urged government to release the detained opposition leaders.

World should press Nuclear power to destroy their arsenals

According to reports , Officials of the five permanent U.N. Security Council members held talks to impose further sanctions on Iran. They wanted to force Iran to halt its its uranium enrichment activities.

In my opinion , the stance adopted by these world powers are illegal and unjustified, because NPT gives Iran to pursue to uranium enrichment activities for peaceful activities.

UN members should press these rogue world powers to destroy Nuclear arsenals to make world nuclear free.

We should remember that America is only nuclear power, which used atomic bomb to subdue Japan.

Commentary : U.S. Accuses Iran of Arms Smuggling

Once again US have hurled accusations at Iran that It is supply weapons to insurgents in Iraq. US military spokesman Rear Admiral Mark Fox said Iran was Iran smuggling advanced weapons, including surface-to-air missiles, into Iraq.

We know that US do not have any evidence to prove it’s allegations. Its own officials have said many times that they do have any evidence to prove that.

What is the motive behind all this actions?

In my opinion, the US wants to put pressure on the Sunni dictators to keep them under its influence. US foreign policy in the Middle East is benefiting the extremist in the Middle East.

Commentary : Pakistan backs off Al Qaeda pursuit

Greg Miller is of the opinion that Political unrest and Taliban attacks have compelled President Pervez Musharraf to scale back counter-terrorism efforts. US officials feel that would give al qaeda free hand in the tribal region of Pakistan. He expressed this views in his article in the LA Times.

It is wrong to say that political turmoil forcing Pakistani government o take attention from war on terrorism.

In my opinion, it is the wrong and arrogant attitude of the US administration that forced Pakistan to rethink its policy. The way US officials were trying to Pakistan into doing their dirty work made Pakistan change its attitude. I am not saying this on the basis of Media reports. I have friends in the army who express these views.

US Officials will have change their arrogant attitude and provide Pakistan all the resources to fight al qaeda.
